God of All Comfort
A series on the Book of Ruth
The book of Ruth in the Old Testament is a short story. It tells how friendship with fellow human beings and faith in God can combine together to bring life out of death and hope out of despair. The book begins with an introduction, and then the 4 chapters tell the story, with an epilogue to finish. Ruth’s name can mean "friend" or "friendship" in Hebrew. It is through the friendship of God and the mirroring of this in the key characters of Ruth, Naomi and Boaz that comfort is experienced. We too can experience the God of all comfort in our lives today.
