There are stories in the Bible - particularly in the Old Testament - which have become part of our own
culture. Add to this the many sayings, phrases and poems that have become part of our own spoken land
written language and we have a richness that only the word of God can provide.
Today, however, there is a risk that in a secular society that the Old Testament teaching may be lost and left
unknown to many, including present-day Christians. This series aims to give an overview of some of the great
stories, which were communicated to us over many centuries. The firther aim is that we would not only
remember the stories, but also understand what God would have us listen to and put into practice.
