Personal Choice

In each generation there exists, side-by-side, unbelief and faith rebellion and acceptance towards God and what he is saying to us.

Throughout the Bible God speaks in many ways to mankind. One way is through parables- this comes from a Latin word which means "comparisons ". There are some in the OT but the most memorable ones - those in the NT, which Jesus told his hearers, his disciples, and sometimes in answer to a question.

These parables are stories, examples, comparisons or allegories, which use a real situation to communicate a message to the reader or hearer, which invites them to make a personal decision.

Their form is beautiful, simple and effective, yet Jesus seemed to imply that the parables hid the truth rather than revealed it. This is not the case. The truth is plain to see for anyone who is receptive to what God is saying and who wants to step out in faith. It is only hidden when a person doubts and rejects the message that God is communicating. It's all about personal choice.
